Donald Trump, Republican Party candidate for 2016

Where does the Republican party find this these silly billies? Didn't think I could have more fun after watching the Sarah Palin fiasco. I was wrong.

He's done this many times, it is a publicity stunt, and he'll say a lot of crazy shit about Democrats.

I don't think it really matters who's president. Don't the Illuminati run the US?

He owns part of Miss America, so he's got the self-respecting female vote there too, right? Looks like a wienner!

In all fairness, I don't think "this party" actually wants him.

I must be honest, it is a real hoot (American expression for "Funny as Heck') to watch the non-Americans follow th herd with their semi-wise cracks about Trump and his Presidential bid.
If nothing else, Trump has injected some spirit into the race...so far.

I will let Dame Bassey sound it out  :

I am not following the herd. Ever since I first came across Donald Trump on TV I have considered him to be a buffoon and nothing he has said during his forays into politics has altered this view. I have been consistent throughout.

However, I don't think his latest presidential ego trip reflects on the GOP in any way.

Whats funny about Trump is that just 15 years ago his current supporters would have called him a socialist. Look at some of the stuff he said -

On universal healthcare

Shortly after the Y2K scare, Trump announced his support for socialized medicine, in a campaign booklet titled, “The America We Deserve”.

“We must have universal health care,” Trump wrote. “We should not hear so many stories of families ruined by health care expenses.”

He even cited Canada’s publicly funded health care system as a model worth emulating.

On the war on drugs

“We’re losing badly the war on drugs. You have to legalize drugs to win that war. You have to take the profit away from these drug czars.”

It would take decades for Democratic leaders like Bill Clinton to declare the drug war a mistake. Even Bernie Sanders isn’t willing to declare his support for marijuana legalization in 2015. However, Trump circa 1990 was ready to legalize everything.

On taxing the wealthy

In 1999, Trump suggested the government collect $5.7 trillion in new revenue by levying a one-time tax on all individuals and trusts worth more than $10 million. With that revenue, Trump hoped that the federal government could cut taxes on the middle-class, and sure up Social Security funding for retirees.

hell, maybe he is not so bad after all.

Maybe he's decided to sabotage the GOP, run as one of them, then reveal true colors if he wins. Hmmmm.

Hasn't divorce become an integral part of the traditional marriage since the 1940/50s? No worries. Those married lesbians and gays in the meme will soon find out all about marriage from beginning to end.

This is better.

Barring a pronoun change those are his own words.

However, as you've raised the issue, I believe that he is actually poorer now (adjusted for inflation) than when he inherited his riches. Reminds me a little of the great entrepreneur White Goodman:

"I earned this body, and I built this temple with nothing more than some elbow grease and a little can-do attitude... and yes, a large inheritance from my father, Earl Goodman."

Well, he was smart enough to get rich.

Understandable you'd think that, given his nouveau riche tackiness and the way he boasts about making money, but he was actually born into wealth.

The man is not a conservative. At best he is a buffoon, but perhaps he's a bit too nasty to even qualify for that.

Early days in the presidential race. He'll be a distant memory before too long, just like the pizza man Herman Cain last time round.
