Trump may have won because of the electoral college (thought that remains to be seen... faithless electors, anyone?), but he has no mandate. He was rejected by the People.

http://issuehawk.com/eric/2016/11/23/cl ... llion.html

Hence all the compromise by Trump.

While he has no mandate, the electoral result is known. Come January the GOP will control both the Executive and Legislative branches. By July 4 it's likely they'll control the Judicial as well.

I hope Democrats have finally steeled themselves to the outcomes this will present. As President Obama has noted, elections have consequences. Keep your complaints to yourselves, and for gods' sakes spare us any whining. Y'all had your chances earlier this month, and you lost. Straight up lost. Get over it.

Beginning next year Americans, especially young Americans, will be watching Democrats for evidence of poor character. With few exceptions Democrats have spent the bulk of November acting like children. Patience is already wearing thin.

Wow, so popular. She should run again in 2020.

Ahead of recounts, three states admit they "erred" in Trump's favor by thousands of votes

By the way, Hillary's popular vote lead has surpassed 2.5 million. The electoral college needs to be done away with; it does not reflect the will of the people.

Fake news site and that guy is only a "journalist" since the election started.
You know Hilary gave up already? And there was no recount yet.

Speaking of fake news:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/201 ... ws-reports

Surely the question should be how are people being educated to the level that they believe a child abuse ring run by Hillary Clinton would be operating out of a take-away pizza restaurant? I have met several expats in Taiwan who lack critical thinking to such an extent - so, IME at least, it's not just a lone loon.

Perhaps another question could be how such a person could get a firearm? Equal opportunity idiocy? Thankfully, the Taiwanese refuse to dish them out to these maniacs. Yes, I know, if you happen to be one of them then I'm a "sheeple" and you're in possession of the truth.

I trust very few people, other than myself, with a firearm. In most cases that even includes police officers. That said, what bothers me are the elements that get them illegally and don't give a shite.

Other than that, I reckon you could say a lot of crap things about Hillary, but I reckon there's as much chance of her running a child abuse ring as there is of half the government being Lizard People. :idunno:

Edit: I apologise beforehand if this post perpetuates gun violence or violence towards children.

Scott Adams chalked this up to confirmation bias, which is little more than saying conspiracy theorists latch on to every lit bit of information that supports their theory and conclude the mountain of evidence supports their claim. Not so.

Hillary Clinton's popular vote lead is now 2.7 million, or 2 percentage points ahead of Trump.

No winning candidate has ever lost by such a margin.

I don't like Trump, but that does sum what I feel about Clinton's supporters. The previous post by Bubbah confirms it. Perhaps proportional representation needs to be tried, but it has a generally bad track record.

Trumps electoral strategy worked, Clintons didn't.
Obviously democrats didn't have a clue what they were doing.
No fan of Trump or his odd cast of characters cabinet but it sure is going to be an interesting few years.
Supporting Taiwan is the part I care about.

It's shocking how many unemployed Women's Studies and English Lit majors there are living with their parents in the cities.

Bubbha, you've changed your tune. Now it's "Popular Vote Total! Popular Vote Total!"

What happened to "Massive electoral fraud! Recount! Recount!"? Things not going well on that front?

Recount isn't going too well. Federal judge halts Michigan presidential election recount

"and we will lose, and you will lose, and we will keep on losing, and eventually you will say we can’t take all of this losing, …please Mrs. Clinton …and I will say, NO, we will lose, and we will keep on losing"
