Joseph Parker - kiwi heavyweight boxer

Check out this young (23yo) man:

He looks bloody good. 6'4'', 100+kg, long reach and good KO ratio. He'll probably need to put on a bit of weight, but I have the feeling that we have a potential heavyweight star on our hands. His left hook reminds me of David Tua - only coming down from a greater height.

Looks good. Best to him. He hits hard!

I liked the ring announcer using his real name - sounds great over the P.A. system.

The site seems to have killed the video. Here's the whole fight. The last round starts at 11:20:

Cheers, JP. I didn't realize they'd taken down the link.

He's good, isn't he? Very fast hands (I'm referring to Joseph Parker, not jimipresley. Although I'm sure his hands are also surprisingly fast).

He keeps rolling on. He's going to be world champion.

Still needs some work, though.

This has got to be one of the most dangerous times in boxing history to be a heavyweight gatekeeper/journeyman. Povetkin, Joshua, Fury, Wilder, the obligatory Klitschko, Haye, this kid Parker - there is so much talent in the top ten these days.

Parker spars with Izu Ugonoh, who may end up a champion in his own right. Parker hits like a Mac truck with astonishing hand speed. Kid has a great future imo.

I have my eyes on Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, especially if they continue to develop boxing smarts. Both already have off-the-charts power. Heavyweight division is amazing at this time.
