testing for lead?

Postby artpen » Mon Apr 14, 2014 19:20

Hi, Has anyone ever tested their little ones for lead with a blood test? I am considering doing this. Any advice?

TIA!

One of my friends sent hair samples to a lab in the States several years ago but there must be an easier (local) way. Have you thought of trying one of hospitals like NTU or Chung Shan or Adventist. You could probably call the PCC at Chung Shan to ask first.

Testing for lead and other heavy metals was an option in a blood test I had several years ago at the Taipei Hospital in Xinzhuang. So other hospitals will likely offer the same.

IIRC, the tests were about NT$800 for each heavy metal.

Thank you! I'll go to a hospital to check it out.
