Religion-related Humour

From Protestants to Pastafarians, from Mormons to Muslims, spirituality is as old as man, and so is discussing religion.

Tom Brady dies and goes to heaven. Upon arrival, he is taken to his house. The house, simple in nature, has one bedroom, a small kitchen and backyard. As he's given a tour of heaven, he stops in front of a mansion. The mansion has a large Tim Tebow statue in front, and painted in the Denver Bronco team colors. Tom turns to his tour guide, God, and asks, " Why does Tim have a better and more resplendent house than me, God?" God answers, "That's not Tim's house, that's mine."

Mother Superior calls all the nuns together and says to them: "I must tell you all something. We have a case of gonorrhea in the convent."

"Thank God," says an elderly nun at the back of the room, "I'm so tired of Chardonnay."

I think I liked Griffin's speech, not because it was funny, but because she was making fun of people thanking God for victories. For an atheist, it's ludicrous to believe there is a higher being, but it must be ludicrous to some Christians as well to think God gives a fuck whether one wins a game, a Grammy, or an Oscar.

I've been hanging on to this cartoon for a few days - reluctant to post it and offend. Ah, well, it makes me smile:

IMO the fact this unfunny :silenced: has ANY recognition, is proof that there is a God.

A devoted old Catholic scholar emerges from the catacombs in great distress with tears flowing. He is asked by his collegue about his obvious distress. He replies, "It translates to "CELEBRATE" !

A pious man is threatened by a great flood. Another man approaches in a boat and says "get in, get in!" The pious man replies, "No, I have faith in God, he will save me." The waters rise, and the man drowns. He arrives at the Pearly Gates, and asks God,
"Why, why oh Lord, have you forsaken me?"
The skies darken, and God replies, angrily -- "What, you think I'm going to waste a miracle on someone too stupid to get in a boat?"

For those who don't know: Songs Of Praise is (was?) a show on the BBC, whereby the host visits picture postcard towns/villages in the UK countryside singing hymns and poking around old churches.

Okay - I'll admit to having a slight crush on Sacha Baron Cohen:

Ain't that a coincidence that he was born on Xmas day?

So does Jesus exist or is it just your father dressed up?
