Doesn't look like a real threat. Just a kid being stupid.
Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle.

If he genuinely did have a stockpile of weapons, I'd say no, he was at least halfway serious. It's not like Taiwan has never heard of people going berserk for reasons of revenge, mental illness, etc.

"I'm going to kill you all, hahaha, just joking" is itself a pretty fucked-up thing to say. At the very least that kid wants his head examined. At least the police didn't go in there with a SWAT team, blasting away at anything that looked like it might be a kid with a gun.

His own MOTHER said it was just a joke! If you can't believe a child's mother, who CAN you trust? Powerful crossbow with a scope, 9mm ammo, garotte, searches for and AK47 or AR15. Some pretty funny yuk-yuks there and no mistake!

"...And daddy doesn't understand it, he always said she was good as gold..."

There's been a few cases of passengers getting hauled off planes and jailed after mentioning the b-word. I don't think "joking" or "stupidity" are looked upon as strong defences in such cases.

Indeed. Making a joke is one thing, also purchasing weapons is another. The last school massacre could have been prevented if people had picked up on the warning signs. Basically, the USA is not the place to make a joke at the moment.
