Most underrated band

Postby Big Vern » Sat May 26, 2018 19:17

Have we done this yet? I've completely forgotten and couldn't find it in a search.

Anyway, I'm going for The Damned.

I'm going with Illinois' finest: Big Black

Some countries cultivate vast populations of idiots for the purpose of maintaining sham democracies. - Toad

The Damned? Underrated? Nah. They were brilliant. Utterly of a moment in time. First time I ever wore black lipstick, shorn my hippie waist-length hair and dyed it orange. Japan, now, that was an underrated band.

That's my point. The Damned were brilliant and didn't get the recognition they deserved. If you youtube Dave Vanian talking about it now there is a hint of bitterness in how they were sidelined in almost every interview. Having said that, he comes across as a top chap. Not as good as Captain Sensible who I would love to have a drink with.
