Guns n' Roses in Taiwan

Postby Big Vern » Sun May 27, 2018 14:52

They're coming to Taiwan on November 17th. That's my daughter's birthday present sorted (her birthday's on the 19th).

Tickets start at 800NTD, which is surprisingly low. I'll be going for the 1800NTD tickets if my wife decides to go, or the 2800NTD if she doesn't.

This is the proper lineup, too*. Not Rose's band who last came here.

*Obviously minus casualties.

Think I'm going spring for one of the more expensive tickets, simply because I hate the idea of having assigned seats at a rock and roll show in a stadium. Standing on the field is the only way to do it.

No point in me standing in the field with a 7 year old. I'm not carrying her for 2-3 hours.

It's at Taoyuan baseball stadium, so there's no way of seeing the band from the stands. We'll just be watching the big screen and enjoying the experience. I've decided to pay 3800 for each ticket and be at the front of the second tier.

You're going to be paying 5800 or 6800 for standing at the front. I think I'd pay that, too, if I didn't have the kid.

Just got my ticket. Wifey said I should get the most expensive one because it's probably the only chance I'll get to see them. So I did. Section A2.

We may have to join you. Every freaking seat has sold out.

I'm not sure if I can carry a 7 year old for 2+ hours.

My wife decided she wants to come too, so she bought a ticket this morning. And discovered that I must have selected the wrong option when choosing collection method, because I'll have to line up and collect it at the venue, whereas hers is getting mailed to us. Bit of a pain that it can't be changed but oh well. It'll be the first proper rock concert she's ever been to so that'll be fun.

I hope I didn't select the wrong option. It was all in Chinese. I paid an extra 250NT or so per ticket, so I presume that means delivery.

Check the order details in the profile section of the ticketing site. It should say there whether it's pick up or delivery.

It's nice that your wife's decided to go. So, I'll be looking out for a tall red haired white guy. I'm going to hazard a guess that I'll be the only balding white guy with a child.
